Chris Lazari has been appointed Director, Infrastructure Services, of Airborne Consulting. Lazari was previously General Manager of the group's Infrastructure division.
Says Airborne CEO, Sean O'Connell: "Chris has a solid mix of business and technical skills gained over the past decade, making him well qualified to strategise around business needs and ROI, as well as architect and deploy solutions. His intimate understanding of our business, and his effective project and risk management, has ensured a predictable growth in our business."
Airborne launched its Infrastructure division a year ago to address the area of 'grey' that exists between where infrastructure and solutions companies start and end, and to provide a consulting service that successfully aligns the infrastructure strategy with business and IT strategy.
Says Lazari: "The result of our increased focus on infrastructure and security solutions has surpassed our initial expectations and led to a number of alternate revenue streams. Our initial strategy was to focus on reducing costs and efficiencies, alongside our consulting service of strategic business and IT alignment. Taking the exponential increase in bandwidth, coupled with the world focus on 'green IT' and 'cloud computing', our consulting offering has become quite specialised in virtualisation and remote hosting."
In addition to this, Airborne has expanded its outsource business and client base by deploying the virtualised/hosted model, and developed its own hosted applications. Says Lazari: "Our recent Microsoft Gold Certification in infrastructure and security, coupled with our solid development and outsourcing track record, has ensured seamless transition and tangible ROI for our clients."
