Infowave Holdings has shown a return to profitability, reporting a headline earning of 0.84c per share for the six months to August.
An attributable headline profit of R184 000 was reported for the 2000 halfway mark. This is in stark contrast to the attributable loss of R4.6 million reported for the 1999 period.
These figures were achieved off a turnover of R10.9 million, a figure lower than the R13.5 million achieved for the comparable period the previous year.
The group has decided it requires a strategic partner if it is to continue steady growth. It is currently investigating options, but not at the expense of the current Infowave culture, says the company.
MD and executive chairman JAA Vat says he step down in favour of a full time calling in a christian ministry.
Ralph Collis, a founding director, and former MD of Infowave Application Solutions, will step into the breach.
The Infowave share price lost ground in the last two days` trade, coming down from the steady 13c it had been trading at, to change hands at 8c.
