Lenovo upgrades Classmate laptops
PC Pro reports.
Lenovo says the new model is even more rugged than the old one, with an enhanced water-resistant keyboard, reinforced steel hinge and strengthened DC socket.
The 10.1-inch anti-glare screen is available with capacitive touch and stylus capability on the convertible model, and optional high-brightness or high-definition available to both models, Slash Gear writes.
The laptops run on an Intel Atom N2600 processor with up to 2GB DDR3 memory and up to 320GB HDD or up to 32GB SSD storage. They also offer three USB ports, VGA, an optional HDMI port and Web cam. Battery life is now extended to all-day use - up to 10 hours on a six-cell battery.
Lenovo Worldwide Education director Michael Schmedlen said Lenovo is committed to enhancing learning via Lenovo's platform of PC offerings designed for students, CBR notes.
"By joining with Intel to create the new Lenovo Classmate+ Clamshell and Classmate+ Convertible laptops, we're demonstrating how mobile computing fits into any learning environment, no matter the location or budget," said Schmedlen.
