Venture Computer, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Lexmark International, today announced that it had changed the dynamics of the business printer marketplace, in line with the announcements made by Lexmark worldwide earlier today.
The complete range of Optra laser printers has been re-positioned functionally and/or re-priced, together with new and upgraded entry level systems, with savings of up to 35% in price/performance terms compared to previous scenarios. A new duplex capable colour printer has also been introduced; the Optra C710.
"This repositioning has been made possible by increases in manufacturing productivity together with the incorporation of pricing economies coming as a direct result of Lexmark owning their own technologies," commented Richard Fearon, Business Development Director at Venture Computer.
