Lexmark International SA announces Windows XP compatibility across inkjet printers, All-In-One imaging centres

Johannesburg, 15 Nov 2001

Lexmark International SA today announced that it is offering support for the Microsoft Windows XP operating system across its consumer line of inkjet printers and All-In-One products - another example of Lexmark`s commitment to providing imaging solutions that accommodate a wide variety of work styles.

Windows XP driver software may be downloaded from Lexmark`s Web site at http://www.lexmark.com/. The 2001 Z-line of Color Jetprinters, including the Z53, Z43, Z33 and Z23, and the X73 and X73 All-In-Ones will all offer XP compatibility. In addition, drivers for earlier models - the Lexmark Z-2 and Z-1 series of Color Jetprinters as well as the 1000, 1100, 3200 and 5700 Color Jetprinters and Photo Jetprinter 5770 - will also be available.

"Windows XP empowers consumers with its intuitive user interface and robust feature-set, making it easy to acquire, organize and share digital photographs across the Internet," commented Mark Hiller, MD of Lexmark International SA. "Lexmark`s products, with their ease-of-use features and photo-quality print resolution, will give users the power to experience their digital memories with Windows XP and easily share them with family and friends."
