Recognising Lexmark`s commitment to innovation, performance and value, PC Computing honoured them with "Technology of the Year" for the Lexmark Optra Color 1200n -- one of fifteen special achievement awards.
PC Computing also awarded the High-Speed Laser Printer award to Lexmark`s Optra S 1255 and the Network Color Printer award went to the Lexmark Optra Color 1200n.
In addition, the Lexmark Photo Jetprinter 5770, recently introduced in North America, and available in South Africa in Q1 1999, the industry`s first "2-in-1" photoprinting and general purpose printing solution, received two distinct honours for product excellence in the digital photoprinter category. Home Office Computing also recognised the Lexmark 5770 with a Silver Award, as part of the publication`s first annual Top 100 Product Awards.

Lexmark Optra S 1255 -- the most affordable member of Lexmark`s award-winning Optra S family of products, a 12 pages-per-minute monochrome printer delivering true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution.
Home Office Computing selected the Lexmark Photo Jetprinter 5770 as one of the 100 best products of the year for the SOHO marketplace, recognising the product for its dependability, performance and value.
The success of Lexmark`s printers in both the consumer and business market has garnered strong recognition for Lexmark. Earlier this month, the company was ranked tenth by Business Week in the publication`s first annual InfoTech 100, which looks at "the world`s best-performing information technology companies.
