LG distribution agreement announced

Johannesburg, 05 Sep 2007

Local distribution company, Workgroup, has entered into a distribution agreement with LG Electronics (LG), whereby Workgroup will distribute LG's range of monitors, notebooks and desktops throughout South Africa.

In recent years, LG has grown its SA market share considerably. This market penetration is, in part, due to the fact that LG chooses its distribution mechanisms and routes carefully, ensuring its distribution partners share its vision and attitude towards the channel.

This is according to Arnold Janse Van Rensburg, who will fill the role of product manager on the LG account at Workgroup.

"As a preferred provider to the channel, Workgroup sees LG as a dedicated vendor that naturally intends to grow its profit margins in the IT channels," he says.

"Workgroup intends to bring as much exposure as possible to the LG range of notebooks, monitors and desktops and I believe we can do this by marketing and positioning the products through the right channels, ensuring customers see the benefits and features provided by the range."

This move to market will amplify LG's delivery channel as Workgroup, with offices in Midrand, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Durban, to name a few, offers a defined reach extending to various corners of the country, which will assist LG in further marketing its products on a broader scale.
