LG expands mobile security solution
Security company, McAfee, and LG Electronics have signed a partnership to address the mobile security challenges facing enterprise and consumer segments, The Street reports.
LG plans to extend McAfee Mobile security technologies to its smartphones and tablets that run on the Android platform.
“Security and manageability are critical enablers for enterprises of all sizes,” says Ki S Kim, corporate VP of LG Electronics global enterprise solutions, in a Tech Connect Magazine article.
“Through our partnership with McAfee, we will deliver essential, out-of-box capabilities to millions of our smart mobile device users, while addressing the security concerns of our enterprise customers, especially those who already benefit from McAfee-branded solutions,” Kim explains.
LG has made several partnerships in the past with companies such as Authentec, MobileIron, Mocana, 3LM and Sybase, Market Watch writes.
Enterprise users who are often on the move can also look forward to unified communications solutions from Avaya and Fuzebox that will be available on LG handsets and tablets.
LG's partnership with Box extends a free 50GB lifetime cloud storage service to users of selected LG smart devices, enabling secure enterprise cloud file sharing and content management to boost worker collaboration.
