Poynting Antennas recently developed a lightning surge protector for 3.4 - 3.5GHz frequencies.
This lightning protector is for in-line use with no coaxial cable and can be applied directly at the antenna base or at the radio. It is available with a N-type connector and is completely waterproof.
Our new lightning protector is a low cost way to protect expensive equipment from lightning strikes on or near an outdoor antenna. It has negligible "turn on time" and also protects from static build-up, offering maximum protection and minimum insertion loss in the 3.4 - 3.5GHz bands.
