Lockheed Martin`s Aeronautics Sector has standardised on the ARIS Toolset from IDS Scheer, Inc, the leading provider of business process reengineering products and services.
Lockheed Martin will use ARIS, highly regarded as the leading process modeling tool, for business process improvement.
Lockheed Martin`s Aeronautics Sector is using ARIS to document business processes for various sector enterprise resource planning (ERP) and product definition reengineering implementations.
"A key strategic initiative for the Aeronautics Sector is to implement common business processes and a common ERP system across all our companies," says Greg Melven, senior project engineer at Lockheed Martin`s Fort Worth facility.
"An important consideration in selecting an enterprise modeling tool was the ability to use a common modeling methodology for both ERP and project definition processes across the sector. ARIS is the only modeling tool on the market today that is equally adept in both worlds. With ARIS we get seamless model integration between our engineering processes and our legacy and ERP systems."
ARIS Toolset is a powerful modeling tool that enables organisations to develop, define and visualise business processes.
The ARIS Toolset is used to streamline product definition and ERP implementations. With the ARIS Toolset, users can view business processes at several levels - organisational, data, function and process - providing a way to combine strategic objectives with processes.
IDS Scheer is committed to providing organisations with the most advanced process modeling tools, methodologies and services to simplify business process improvement and implementation of ERP systems," says Dr Mathias Kirchmer, President and CEO of IDS Scheer. "Lockheed Martin`s Aeronautics Sector`s standardisation of the ARIS Toolset illustrates how it can be used as a strategic tool to improve business operations across the enterprise."
The ARIS Toolset is represented in South Africa by Software Futures, a subsidiary of Computer Configurations Holdings.
