Logic Group, the Woodmead-based specialist adviser on utilising technology to enable business processes, has acquired total ownership of Qlikview business intelligence software and solutions provider Consilia Consult.
Errol Wills, managing director of Logic Group, said the decision to acquire the remaining 50% shareholding in Consilia Consult was in line with the company's strategy of “growth beyond the accounting and financial ERP software and services offerings” into a broader offering of technology solutions focused on enabling business processes.
“Business intelligence programs such as Qlikview, in which Consilia Consult has specialised from inception, are changing the way in which businesses are able to analyse their data to offer decision support,” added Wills.
“Companies across all sectors of commerce and industry will need business intelligence to provide useful information critical to their success. So BI is a sensible place in which to grow our involvement and provide focus on the enablement of business processes beyond ERP and CRM.”
Effective BI provides the right data at the right time and enables companies to make quick decisions on business strategy supported by accurate, up-to-the-minute information, while the accounting software ensures financial compliance with statutory requirements.
Consilia Consult joins two other companies in the Logic Group - Lorge, which focuses on Accpac and Sage ERP X3, and 4most, a provider of SAP Business One business software and technology solutions.
