Logica to resell IBM Maximo

IT services provider, Logica Australia, has signed an agreement with IBM to resell, deliver and support Maximo Asset Management software, reports ARN.

The agreement builds upon Logica's existing asset management services portfolio to help clients achieve maximum value from their asset base and provide further options to its clients.

Maximo provides a single platform to track enterprise, ICT, and assets.

Thailand ICT market gains momentum

In 2011, the Thailand ICT market will be shaped by advancements in social media, greater acceptance of smartphones, and increased demands for services for both fixed and wireless communications, according to IDC, states Thailand Business News.

“We believe that rising demands from consumers for mobile devices and personal computing systems will play an important role in driving ICT spending in Thailand this year,” says Attaphon Satidkanitkul, research manager, IDC Thailand.

IDC says the new product mixes with strategic pricing will continue to generate momentum in the market specifically from vendors offering systems infrastructure, storage, and services solutions.

Fujitsu speeds up business transformation

Fujitsu has introduced an approach to for improving business processes, and building ICT systems that contribute to customer businesses, says Vadvert.co.uk.

Starting in April, the Fujitsu Group in Japan will begin adopting the newly developed Tri-shaping methodology for project.

Fujitsu plans to offer a fee-based training service for customers beginning in the second half of fiscal 2011. This will enable Fujitsu to address challenges, ensure the development of ICT systems that contribute to business, and help speed up the pace of business transformation.
