Lombardi re-thinks cloud model
A re-engineered workflow build and management system for cloud-based systems has been delivered after four years' work by Lombardi Software, reports The Register.
The business process management (BPM) specialist has released a version of its Teamwork BPM suite that lets users re-create historical events in systems based on open source and Java. Also added is support for Google's Web Toolkit.
The Teamwork 7.0 repository will allow users to capture instances of cloud-based applications, and to go back in time and re-run them for testing and ongoing management and maintenance.

Google's cloud gets dose of BPM
Cordys is applying its BPM know-how to Google Apps, a suite of communication and collaboration tools designed to run in the cloud, states Ovum.
Through integration with the Cordys Process Factory process orchestration capabilities, cost-conscious Google Apps customers will finally have a way of working collaboratively with Google Docs by implementing process automation and workflow in the cloud for less than the cost of a mobile phone.
This integration is aimed at organisations that want to marry the BPM capabilities of the Cordys Process Factory, a hosted development environment in the platform-as-a-service mould, with Google Apps.
