Lycamobile eyes Indian mobile market

Global mobile virtual network operator Lycamobile plans to enter the Indian mobile communications space, reports The Economic Times.

Lycamobile has partnered with Plintron to introduce mobile convergence solutions to the Indian enterprise market, according to The Hindu.

The Hindu Business Line says the global partnership is to tap the mobile virtual network aggregator market that is pegged to be worth $67 billion.

Mohan Kumar, CEO of Plintron explains the partnership is built on Lycamobile's services and solutions hosted on a private cloud-based mobile core network infrastructure.

Miling Kangle, group CEO of Lycamobile, says under the agreement, the company will provide services such as regulatory compliance and getting licences for clients to roll out mobile services in various countries.

News Tonight reveals that Plintron plans to recruit 1 000 employees by the end of 2011.
