
Mac-based DJ Software updated
Fidelity Media has released an update to the Mac-based DJ software and radio automation system, MegaSeg, adding a trackpad beat-syncing and scrubbing ability, new album art display feature, and numerous minor improvements, writes PC World
MegaSeg is a professional DJ and broadcast automation system for audio and video mixing and music scheduling. The program, designed specifically for Mac OS X, enables seamless transitions between songs and videos, triggering of sound effects via hot keys, cueing tracks on a second output, and more, according to the company.
New in MegaSeg 5.5 is a revamped Wave Viewer with trackpad beat-syncing and scrubbing, which the company says allows for easier visual beat mixing and cueing. The feature works with MacBook trackpads as well as the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad.
Christie MicroTiles to be showcased
Data Display Audio Visual will showcase seismic data interpretation software displayed in high resolution with vivid colour on Christie MicroTiles in Halliburton's booth at SEG 2010, reports Exhibitor Online.
With higher resolution, the company says Christie MicroTiles offers more pixels and a greater, detailed analysis of data, leveraging the strengths of both rear projection and LED technology.
Christie MicroTiles is said to produce a virtually seamless canvas with an unlimited number of super-fine pixels.
Marantz intros Apple certified system
Audio and visual electronics specialists Marantz has brought to market an audio system with Apple AirPlay music streaming capability, says Mac Video.
AirPlay lets users stream music wirelessly throughout the house, with a number of leading manufacturers signing up to integrate the software into speaker docks, AV receivers and stereo systems. AirPlay works over WiFi or Ethernet connection, or a combination of both.
The Marantz Melody Media 'all-in-one' music system is said to allow users to stream music from their iTunes collections to the Marantz system “simply”.
