Macola, Interact partnership results in CRM integrator

Johannesburg, 01 Feb 2001

The groundbreaking relationship between Interact Commerce Corporation, provider of SalesLogix2000, relationship management (CRM) and e-Commerce , and Macola Software, provider of the Progression Series e-Business solutions, will result in the general release of a first-of-its-kind CRM Integrator by month`s end.

In addition to being the first company to place in general release a CRM Integrator that seamlessly integrates with its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Macola also was the first company to sign an OEM agreement with Interact and is Interact`s largest SalesLogix implementation site to date.

Macola`s CRM Integrator streamlines processes and enhances visibility into customer-specific by non-CRM users and improves visibility for CRM users into the back office.

"Customer satisfaction, today more than ever, is a cornerstone of business success," said Macola CEO and President Bruce A Hollinger. "Companies, large and small, technical or otherwise, are striving for higher quality customer service practices and using the end result as a unique selling advantage. By offering CRM technology that is tightly integrated with our ERP system, Macola is helping businesses worldwide achieve that goal."

The general release of Macola`s CRM Integrator is the final step in linking the two company`s respective technologies - Macola`s award-winning Progression Series suite of manufacturing, distribution and financial software, and Interact`s SalesLogix2000, a full e-CRM suite, including sales, marketing, support and e-business features.

Industry analysts have said that true customer relationship management is accomplished when products such as SalesLogix 2000 are integrated with mission-critical back office enterprise applications such as Macola`s Progression Series.

Toward that end, Macola Software developed its CRM Integrator by creating tight touch-point integration links between SalesLogix` customer-focused CRM functions and Progression`s back office ERP application. The resulting technology, said Hollinger, enables businesses to provide timely, accurate service that is tailored to the unique needs of the individual customer, while also making prospecting for new customers more efficient.

Macola`s CRM Integrator allows businesses and their customers to view account, order and item information in real time. Businesses can also access Progressions` order environment from within SalesLogix, which automatically fills in the account information thereby eliminating the time-consuming process of re-keying information.

Progression also allows businesses to look at SalesLogix information. This is unique to the Macola integration with SalesLogix. As a result, a business` sales staff can view other contacts that are not located in the accounting side of their software system, but are defined as additional contacts in SalesLogix.
