Macro 4 launches UniQPrint version 3.2

Leading systems software company, Macro 4, today announced the launch of version 3.2 of its market leading print management product, UniQPrint. This important new release seamlessly interfaces with SAP R/3. UniQPrint is now able to handle all output management tasks, removing any printing overhead from the R/3 application.

The Output Management Solution

UniQPrint is an advanced print management system for UNIX and Windows NT platforms. UniQPrint provides controllable report spooling and delivery management of business-critical documents to any destination including printer, fax, remote server, mainframe system and e-mail recipient.

UniQPrint - integration with R/3

Through UniQPrint`s certified interface to SAP R/3, users can enjoy maximum flexibility with UniQPrint 3.2, which includes support for R/3 documents generated via the R/3 spool work process as well as the BC-XOM Output Management Systems Interface available with R/3 release 4.0.

Extended functionality with UniQPrint 3.2

UniQPrint has been extended to offer National Language. The enhanced data compression functionality ensures that network traffic is minimised and disk space utilisation for UniQPrint archive documents is optimised. Other new features include integration with VTAMPRINT, Macro 4`s mainframe printing solution, enabling true cross-platform end-to-end print management, as well as automatic document recognition of reports containing PostScript, PCL etc., ensuring minimum operator intervention.

Commenting on the launch of UniQPrint Version 3.2, Mark Nation, Product Marketing Manager, said "At Macro 4, we work closely with our customers in determining product direction. As part of Macro 4`s commitment to R/3 integration, the company will be exhibiting at at SAPPHIRE(r) Madrid, the SAP European user conference.
