Macromagic Holdings has formed a strategic alliance with Pretoria-based company, CampusWise, obtaining the competitive edge by becoming the first Computer Training company in Africa to offer advanced interactive distance training via the .

Macromagic chose the product, InterWise because of its excellent interactive capabilities, allowing them to deliver superior-quality courses to any participant world-wide, regardless of time zones, and using the existing bandwidth infrastructure.

By introducing this outstanding technology, students can now participate in a "live" instructor-led, voice interactive training session from the comfort of their homes of offices. Travel costs are therefore no longer barriers for customer participation. This real-time interaction will provide students with a unique sense of community - something that does not exist in online today.

This `Virtual Classroom" allows students to speak, learn, participate in application sharing and various evaluation tools enables the Instructor to continuously monitor the students` progress.

"It is most important to be able to interact with students throughout training sessions, and to give students personal attention. This technology will open up the whole of Africa, enabling a higher standard of education," says Alan Visser, Sales & Marketing Director and Co-owner of Macromagic Holdings.

George Verster, MD of CampusWise, adds: "Macromagic Holdings exceeds our expectations in terms of their innovative approach and visions to change the face of the IT Training community using our product as a delivering mechanism for their courses. I am confident that together we cam make a difference.

Course offerings to be rolled out include anything from basic computing through to advanced programming, with the Certified Internet Webmaster courses forming an integral part thereof.

The minimum requirements for students to participate in live sessions are a computer with Internet access on a standard telephone line, a sound card, and a headset with a microphone.

The Macromagicians hope that this initiative will start to assist all people in Africa to realise their full learning potential.
