Make Sahara Media Centre the pinnacle of your digital home

The new Sahara Media Centre PC, a combination digital home entertainment system and PC solution, is now available to consumers through Sahara resellers. Aimed at the lifestyle technology enthusiast, this system allows for PCs application use with simultaneous digital access to and control over entertainment appliances and applications.

This new Sahara Media Centre PC is powered by Intel Pentium 4 processor with HT technology and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005.

Incorporation of this landmark software transforms the state of the art desktop PC into a comprehensive media control centre and allows the user to enjoy DVDs, music, videos or television; to experience high-definition playback and viewing, as well as watch, pause and record live TV - and the possibility of doing this all while making use of the functionality of desktop Windows XP software.

"Now the consumer can browse the Internet, play their favourite PC games, e-mail and instant message friends and family and run Windows XP programs," explains Gary Naidoo, deputy MD of Sahara. This latest in Sahara's extensive line of digital lifestyle product runs off the Intel 945+ ICH7DH chipset and features DDR2 333/400 DIMMx4 memory, 7.1 Channel HD Audio for high quality sound and embedded graphics or low profile PCIex16.

Other noteworthy features include: an 8-in-1 card reader, USB ports, IR MCE remote control, LED status display on front panel, NTSC/PAL + FM and AW inputs (dual and digital optional) as well as ports for the headphone and microphone.
