MCI, the exclusive distributor for Bond International Software in South Africa, today announced the availability of their Adapt Vendor Management Solution (VMS). This powerful and flexible multi-user system is designed to automate the recruitment and selection processes within the human resource departments of companies. The Adapt VMS integrates all stakeholders involved in the recruitment process, and co-ordinates internal customer and external supplier activities, from the initial requisition through to the final payment.
"The growing need within the recruitment processes of any organisation is for a better support system that allows for the streamlining of the processes involved," commented Filip vanden Houte, Business Partner of MCI Consultants.
"Adapt VMS has been designed to satisfy and facilitate these needs by enabling personnel agencies, applicants and employees to collaborate in real-time using the Internet. The system provides comprehensive self-service functionality for applicants, managers, employees, recruiters and supplying staff agencies using intuitive, role specific home pages."
Line managers within an organisation access the system via their desktop browser to raise a requisition, view existing vacancies and even authorise payments via electronic timesheets. Unlike other systems, Adapt VMS has been designed to be intuitive in only providing the information and functionality relevant for each individual user and, also includes 'easy to use` templates that guide the user through each process.
Human resources or divisional managers receive optional e-mail notifications of recruitment activities requesting them to log into the system, again via their desktop browser, to approve a new requisition.
All activities are updated in real-time, thus streamlining a process that is often very cumbersome.
The internal or outsourced recruitment teams also access the powerful database via the Internet, however they have full access to the information and functionality of the Adapt VMS system. It is from here that the core recruitment process is driven providing detailed candidate searching facilities for recruiters to examine the client database before going out to external agencies; pre-screening; scheduling of interviews; and the production of relevant paperwork or contracts for successful placements.
Supplying Agencies have access to details of specific vacancies from which they can submit suitable candidates. The agency can also monitor their candidate progress from a vacancy detail screen that provides an up to date candidate and vacancy status, information that is crucial in a managed service environment.
The solution also caters for internal and external direct candidate application allowing the candidate to update and amend their profiles, CVs or skill-sets, apply for positions on-line and track and monitor their progress.
"Although Adapt VMS is appropriate for the fulfilment of both permanent and temporary staffing positions, it is likely that it will be the handling of the latter requirement that will dominate initially if we are consistent with the pattern that has been established overseas," concluded vanden Houte.
The VMS system is delivered and supported as an ASP solution; a complete end-to-end hosted offering that allows the users to focus on their business instead of on supporting and maintaining this specific application.
