Mediasurface releases 5.7
Mediasurface has unveiled Morello 5.7, its enterprise-level solution for Web content management, according to WebitPR.
Morello 5.7 features enhancements to help create and maintain XHTML transitional or strict Web sites, allowing organisations to more easily adhere to Web content accessibility guidelines.
Accessible Web sites demonstrate an ethical approach to business and ensure the 11 million-plus disabled adults in the UK have equal access to company information, products and services.
Vignette updates platform
Web content management firm Vignette has updated three components of its Web Experience platform, giving customers the ability to offer more compelling Web site experiences and improved collaboration tools, says ITWeek.
Vignette has updated its content management tool, which helps firms streamline and manage the creation of Web content.
New features include new URL-generating tools, which allow newly created Web pages to be linked more closely to the original domain, thereby improving site search rankings, said Vignette's product marketing manager, Guy Westlake.
OCC signs with Aquilent
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in the Treasury Department has awarded Aquilent a contract valued at $5.3 million over two years to develop and support the agency's Web and electronic publishing system, states FCW.com.
The systems integration combines document management and Web content management, a company spokesman said.
The system will provide data to OCC's bank examiners in a more timely, accessible and searchable format, whether they are working online or offline, the company said.
