Toshiba Computer Systems, a division of Toshiba South Africa, recently introduced the new Satellite L670 aimed at meeting users' everyday computing needs, which now increasingly require the latest multimedia features.
The Satellite L670 features a 17.3-inch HD display, and is designed as a full desktop replacement for users looking for the greater productivity that a larger screen offers, while at the same time, seeking a reasonable cost.
“The new glossy L-series laptops are ready to support all aspects of users' everyday digital lives. They offer a broad set of multimedia applications and technologies that provide a great user experience,” said Jorge Da Silva, country manager for Toshiba South Africa.
The Toshiba Media Controller makes content streaming between connected DLNA capable devices easy. The Toshiba Media Controller Plug-In for Internet Explorer allows users to comfortably stream Flash videos stored on the Youtube video platform directly to a connected DLNA capable TV set's large screen.
A Blu-ray rewritable drive plays back high definition content and also records or rewrites content, up to 50GB, on a dual layer optical disc, while Dolby Advanced Audio provides a vibrant sound.
Sustainable and eco-friendly
As a responsible global corporate citizen, Toshiba ensures that all laptops are fully compliant with European WEEE and RoHS directives, effectively reducing the environmental impact by restricting the use of lead, mercury and certain other hazardous substances. Additionally the Toshiba Eco utility helps to reduce power consumption. The Satellite L-series devices are ENERGY STAR 5.0 qualified.
The Toshiba Satellite L670 is available from Mustek (011 237 1000) and Tarsus (011 531 1000) at a recommended retail price, from R8 999 (incl VAT).
