MessageLabs releases Email Continuity service
MessageLabs, a provider of integrated messaging and Web security services to businesses worldwide, has released its Email Continuity service, a fully integrated, user-controlled solution that eliminates e-mail downtime, stops any loss of productivity and ensures the integrity of e-mail communications even in the event of an e-mail outage, according to Earthtimes.
The service enhances the suite of fully managed e-mail and Web security solutions offered on MessageLabs SaaS platform.
In the event of an e-mail outage, since the backup system is constantly running, the user activates access for the appropriate departments or individuals via the phone or Web and the users can continue to use e-mail as normal.
Unicorn IT unveils BC service
Double-Take Software has enabled Unicorn IT, a provider of managed IT services, to launch a managed business continuity service, reports Blocks and Files.
The service, Continue, uses the real-time data protection and recoverability functionality of Double-Take to provide small and medium-sized business (SMBs) with enterprise-level IT continuity.
Continue replicates data from an SMB's servers to fully managed target servers within Unicorn IT's data centre. In the event of server failure at the SMB's main site, delivery of IT services is rapidly transferred to the target servers, which hold an up-to-date copy of data and provide near-continuous service to users.
Janco Associates unveils new releases
Janco Associates has released its new Backup and Backup Retention Policy and Version 5.1 of its Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity template, states Earthtimes.
The Backup and Backup Retention Policy was developed to meet the mandated needs of those doing business in the US.
