Metastorm, distributed locally by Alliance Partner DVT, has introduced its Process Pods to address the growing demand for vertical and horizontal process solutions.
The Metastorm Process Pods are designed to extend the company`s existing set of process templates and provide a broader set of resources to help customers accelerate the deployment of mission-critical process improvement initiatives. Each Process Pod contains key elements necessary to jump-start successful process implementations on Metastorm business process management software.

"Process Pods allow Metastorm to neatly package its process excellence and technical best practices expertise, and the experience gained from the many vertical and horizontal process solutions successfully developed over the years, providing customers with the core elements they need to get a new process up and running quickly. They can be customised to a customer`s specific needs and DVT consultants can be leveraged to further extend the scope of any given Pod."
The Process Pods, which address in-demand processes such as new customer acquisitions, new store openings, case management and purchase order management, include:
* Process maps pre-built in the Metastorm Designer;
* Electronic forms pre-built in the Metastorm Forms Builder;
* Pre-built management and analytical reports;
* Pre-built integration with mail, collaboration, messaging and business applications;
* Administrative tools;
* Electronic process documentation;
* .NET and Java application programming interfaces (APIs);
* Basic scripts or Web services where appropriate;
* Sample data; and
* A multimedia Podcast that describes the solution and the business value it provides.
"Process Pods will remain a development focus for Metastorm and will include process management elements for Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance," Van Rensburg says.
