Original software developer, Korbitec`s first "rocket", GhostFill 2.5, has been embraced by Microsoft and will be showcased in the Windows World Pavilion at Computer Faire. Set to be the `killer application` for the legal fraternity, the solution is expected to revolutionise productivity in the industry. Integrated with Microsoft (MS) Office 2000, the solution delivers a further value-add to law firms, encouraging them to embrace MS Word as the preferred word processing system.
"The legal industry is arguably one of the most document-intensive industries," says Mark Todes, Korbitec`s marketing director. "GhostFill 2.5, designed to complement MS Word and enhance its functionality, will transform legal business practice. The integrated solution will enable law firms to streamline internal processes and pave the way for them to embrace the Internet to derive the business benefits the Web promises."
GhostFill 2.5 and MS Office together automate document creation, facilitate document management as well as perform labour-intensive tasks, such as converting numbers to words at the click of a mouse. The outcome is polished documents filed and presented consistently and in keeping with stringent legal requirements.
Leading SA law firms Werksmans, Fluxman Rabinowitz, Venn Nemeth Hart and Millers have recently switched to MS Word, thanks to GhostFill 2.5, which has transformed MS Word into a powerful word processor that addresses attorneys` need to streamline document automation.
"Korbitec`s `rocket` projects are high-risk/high return by virtue of their groundbreaking potential and are designed to take off with steep growth curves. We see South Africa as a test bed for the integrated solution and, following the success we anticipate here, hope to introduce it, together with MS, into international markets," Todes concludes.
