Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions (MSGP) has dramatically increased the functionality of its enterprise applications suite for small and mid-size businesses with the release of extensions to its Release 6.0 solutions.
The new functionality - for its eEnterprise and Dynamics applications - will deliver new features and products to help organisations lower their total cost of ownership and make better business decisions faster.
The new features will enable small and medium-sized businesses to manage their financial and distribution activities more effectively through greater connectivity with their key business partners, automated processes that increase employee productivity, enhanced abilities to analyse key business data, and greatly expanded distribution capabilities.
"These latest enhancements make strong solutions even stronger. eEnterprise and Dynamics are extraordinary solutions for mid-market companies seeking to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global economy," said Chris Harris, Managing Director for Microsoft Great Plains in Africa and the Middle East.
eEnterprise now lets companies extend online cash receipts processing, automate customer refunds, easily administer cash and expense deferrals, automate customer and vendor balance consolidations and provide a powerful tool for advanced financial inquiries.
Its distribution series updates enable the mid-market to automate purchasing and inventory replenishment processes, perform promotional and customer-based pricing, and better manage inventory scenarios that involve advanced stock-status reporting.
Dynamics 6.0`s added functionality allows users to better track inventory activity and more effectively manage their financials, as well as offering users new ways to manage time and expenses.
