However Microsoft has down played these rumours. According to Microsoft, more clues about the product will indeed appear on the Origami Project site on Thursday.
Lenovo targets SME market
The release of Lenovo`s 3000-series notebooks and desktops are targeted at the small and medium enterprise (SME).
The new notebooks and desktops feature low-end to mid-range configurations and won`t include fancy dual-core CPUs, wide-screen LCDs or other high-end features, reports ZDNet.
All systems come with a set of security and reliability tools in a package called Lenovo Care. This is designed to evoke the image of the ThinkVantage technology offered in its ThinkCentre and ThinkPad forebears.

Toshiba`s ROHS-compatible PCs
Toshiba is expanding its environmentally friendly portable PCs with a deal to supply Wal-Mart with restriction on hazardous substance (ROHS) compatible notebooks, reports Information Week.

"Toshiba has already started shifting its entire portable PC line to become ROHS-compatible," says Chris Casper, group manager of product marketing at Toshiba America.
