Microsoft and SAP have partnered in a marketing agreement to target the healthcare market with their new Duet technology, says Techwhack.

This technology provides software that integrates their desktop and back-end business applications.

The companies said Duet would feature integration of Microsoft's front-end Office productivity programs with complex ERP applications from SAP.

Avnet Technology Solutions, a distributor focused on enterprise computer products and embedded subsystems, has launched an independent software vendor ecosystem designed specifically for the healthcare technology market, states FOXBusiness.

Through the ecosystem, Avnet will enable partners to provide complete healthcare solutions, including leading healthcare industry software, hardware and services.

"To meet the technology needs of hospitals and medical facilities, it is critical to not only provide hardware infrastructure, but also the industry-specific applications that doctors, nurses and administrators need to do their jobs," said Tony Vottima, VP of vertical market solutions at Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.

DB Technology, a provider of automated information and report distribution solutions, is showcasing the latest version of its software suite, Report Automation System, at this year's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference and exhibition, reports FOXBusiness.

The software suite enables data from disparate computer systems and applications to be captured in a single repository for easy, fast and unencumbered access.

DB Technology's RAS 3.28 represents significant innovations to its software suite which is deployed in hundreds of hospitals and healthcare organisations in the US.
