Mimecast today announced that it ranked number three in the 2010 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years. Mimecast grew 7579% during this period.
Mimecast's CEO, Peter Bauer, credits the company's 7579% revenue growth over the past five years to the its ability to provide e-mail archiving, continuity, security, discovery and policy management through a single platform and the potential of delivering those services quickly and affordably through a software as a service (SaaS) model.
Bauer commented: "We are delighted to have been ranked third in the Deloitte Fast 50. To be placed so highly in such a prestigious and competitive list is a fantastic testament to the whole company. Since Mimecast was founded in 2003, we have worked hard to build a company that provides a truly world-class service to customers, with genuinely best-of-breed technology at its heart. We look forward to building on this success in the coming months and years and will continue to drive the development of innovative, industry-leading products and services."
“Because the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 measures sustained revenue growth over years, being one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK is an impressive achievement," said Peter O'Donoghue, Deloitte Technology partner for London. "Mimecast deserves a lot of credit for its remarkable growth."
