Minolta introduces MiSix

Johannesburg, 22 Jan 2003

In an environment where the emphasis has moved from hardware sales to client-specific print solutions, Minolta South Africa has introduced its Integrated Systems Information Exchange (MiSix), a solutions-focused approach to delivering software support to clients.

Minolta software support manager, Juneid Docrat, says the MiSix concept is about delivering on the promise to clients to provide comprehensive business solutions as opposed to just selling product.

"Every site is modelled to the client`s specifications and finding the best way to integrate with existing systems - our focus is solutions first, and then hardware."

MiSix technicians are involved in the entire cycle of the solutions-finding process, from the initial pre-sales phase through to the analysis of the requirements and conceptual stage, and finally to the implementation and ongoing support of the solution. MiSix offerings also include training on various software packages and the development of necessary business tools to continuously improve on customer relationship management.

Docrat says MiSix has dedicated teams handling the various aspects of Minolta`s offerings including colour, monochrome, pre-sales, fax, development, training and help desk.

"There are teams to handle once-off installations and teams that will remain on-site for one month to a year, depending on the size and complexity of the job.

"MiSix is about staying ahead of times and being cognisant of customer expectations. Being proactive and customer focused is what has made Minolta South Africa a self reliant and world-class business," says Docrat.
