In order to ensure that the sales personnel are kept up to date with current products and technology, MINOLTA-QMS South Africa are hosting " Sales & Knowledge Seminars" regionally every quarter.
Following the success of the first seminar held at Centurion Country Club in January, at which an excess of 140 people attended, is proof that sales personnel are hungry for knowledge to provide the latest in laser printing solutions to their clients. The content of the seminars is aimed at the applications of laser printers in the market, and having the sales people understanding laser printers, rather than pushing the specifications down their throats, and expect them to remember everything in a parrot fashion.
MINOLTA-QMS printers are distributed through Minolco and SDD. Minolco has 14 branches and in excess of 47 dealers. While SDD has considerably more resellers on their records, the seminars are aimed at those resellers who actively market the MINOLTA-QMS products. With these sort of numbers country-wide, it is impossible to go and train each company individually, and getting them all together for regular training sessions, proves to meet these demands for sales training.
Up and coming seminars will focus on colour laser printers, network laser printers, and is an ideal vehicle for launching new products to sales personnel.
The sales seminars will be combined with reseller end user functions, where the reseller can invite potential clients to view all the latest products after the seminar.
