MINOLTA-QMS expands into software as a result of increased demand for colour

Johannesburg, 25 Apr 2002

In response to the growing demand for colour laser printers, MINOLTA-QMS has spread its tentacles into software development and created a new program called Zoner Draw 4 Plus, an advanced graphic software program for a broad range of applications from promotional leaflets, to business cards and CD labels.

According to MINOLTA-QMS laser printer division product manager, Marc Pillay, Zoner Draw 4 Plus is easier to use and more competitively priced than similar products in its range. "The product is designed to offer users an integrated solution for creating, preparing and printing graphic documents in colour," he says.

Zoner Draw 4 Plus is suitable for 32-bit platforms that use Microsoft 95, 98, NT4, 2000 and Me, and is specifically targeted at real estate agencies, car dealers, travel agencies, restaurants and retail stores.

Two major advantages for users are the 450 pre-prepared colour templates that are delivered on a separate CD to compliment the existing collection of templates, and PageScope Image, digital photo enhancement software developed by Minolta.

"PageScope Image provides a fully automatic enhancement function for image optimisation and has a number of preset enhancement functions such as overexposed and underexposed," says Pillay.
