Mirada gets partnership deal with Ericsson
Mirada, the audio visual content specialist listed on AIM, has partnered with Ericsson, a telecommunications company, states Stock Market Wire.
Under the arrangement Mirada will integrate its Navi Electronic Programme Guide with Ericsson's middleware solution.
This will allow operators to provide customers with the best possible advanced TV services, including video-on-demand.
Oregan preps UK Onyx debut
Oregan Networks has unveiled its Onyx-branded HD Internet media player in the UK, says Absolute Gadget.
Oregan, which develops media browsing technologies for television, says the small form-factor, affordable set-top box, it says, offers "a simple way" for consumers to stream popular Internet video services and music, as well as accessing photo sharing and social networking sites on their TVs.
"To offer consumers the maximum freedom of choice, the media player allows access to multiple branded content outlets via a slick and animated user interface," the company says.
Lightspeed's unveils CAT AV
Lightspeed Technologies, a provider of classroom audio solutions, has added CAT AV to its product line of installed audio systems, according to Business Wire.
CAT AV combines the benefits of classroom audio and audio visual media through a unique, wireless control system. An easy-to-use handheld selector offers teachers the ability to integrate multimedia audio from multiple sources with one-touch.
Four audio visual sources, the company claims, allow seamless connection of audio from computers, DVDs or VCRs, MP3 players, document cameras, cable tuners and more.
