Mirics gets new VP
Mirics Semiconductor has appointed Jay Nunez as its new vice-president (VP) for the America and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions, reports Sys-Con Media.
Nunez previously held the position as VP of North American sales and marketing for processor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
Simon Atkinson, CEO of Mirics, says: “His wealth of commercial experience and success within the wireless, processor and electronics service industries have equipped him well to guide Mirics through the business challenges as we continue to extend the commercial reach of our hardware and software technology.”
Compuware exec to drive strategy
Compuware has reined in Steve Jobson as its new senior industry executive to drive its business strategies across the Australian, New Zealand and Japanese markets, says ITWire.
Jobson has worked for 20 years with Compuware, including three years as VP Asia-Pacific and five years as VP for Compuware UK and Ireland.
He will be responsible for the company's business service delivery strategy across the region.
NTT hires network VP
Global IP network services provider, NTT America, has hired Michael Wheeler to fill the position of VP for its business unit, according to My Host News.
Wheeler will be responsible for leading the global IP network business unit, involving finance, engineering and customer relations.
“I look forward to leading a group that, during the last few years, has made such significant gains,” says Wheeler: “In 2008, NTT America saw more than 700% growth in the purchase of our dual-stack bandwidth. In addition, our overall network has continued expanding at 70% annually and exceeded 1tbps of private peering.”
