Miro distribution is proud to announce that it has been certified by MikroTik to offer MikroTik training.
It will present training sessions in South Africa throughout 2007. These training sessions will range from a basic introductory training, through to fully advanced training, which is designed to elaborate on, and increase the knowledge gained on the basic course.
MikroTik has been developing and selling wireless routers since 1995. It was founded to develop and sell wireless ISP systems. The latest software product of MikroTik, the v2.9, is a software router system that makes it easy for a VAR, ISP, or network administrator to make a PC router for wireless, wide area, or local area networks.
MikroTik now provides wireless ISP systems for Internet connectivity in countries around the world, including Sri Lanka, Ghana and South Africa.
MikroTik's experience in using industry-standard PC hardware has developed into the MikroTik v2 PC routing software system that provides extensive stability, control and flexibility for all kinds of data interfaces and routing systems on a platform of standard PC parts.
Most of these training sessions will run over a period of three days and cover the following topics:
* Basic setup
* Wireless concepts
* Networking best practices
* Wireless security configuration
* Firewall configuration
* Network access and security
* Quality of service
* Network address translation
* Monitoring network traffic
* Traffic classification with Mangle
This training offers a hands-on approach due to each attendee receiving his own Router Board on arrival to use for practical sessions during the four-day period. This ensures a solid understanding of the technology and provides confidence for the attendee during real world installations.
Two pricing structures are currently available for the training: the first is for attendance only and the second will include the price of the attendee's Router Board. This means the attendee may choose whether he would like to keep his Router Board after the three-day training period.
This training course will be in addition to our wireless, VOIP and IPVideo training.
