Mitel Networks has announced the extension of the mobility capabilities of its market-leading 3300 ICP IP Telephony platform. The 3300 already supports 802.11b wireless LAN mobility allowing for the creation of multiservice WIP hot spots integrating telephony along with PCs, peripherals and PDAs. Now via a strategic relationship with German-based DeTeWe, Mitel has announced the integration of DeTeWe industry-leading line of Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT)-based wireless solutions with Mitel Networks` award-winning IP communications platforms.
This co-development enables enterprises to increase workforce mobility and enjoy transparent connectivity and functionality to their wired desktop. With the announcement of this relationship, Mitel Networks fulfils a commitment to offer flexible, cost-effective, wireless voice and data networks to enterprises throughout Europe.
