Oberthur Technologies, BridgePort Networks and Iskratel are demonstrating the MobileSTICK solution commercially launched under the brand name m:stik by Mobitel at 3GSM Mobile World Congress, according to PR-USA.NET.

Ink's Convergence conference will be held on 10 to11 March, focusing on radio and radio's future, says Radio Ink.

Keynoting convergence will be Silicon Valley icon and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who'll be participating in a "fireside chat" with Radio Ink's Eric Rhoads about the Apple success story and its history of innovation, and what "Woz" sees ahead for media and technology.

Leo Laporte, the "Tech Guy," will be the keynote day two of convergence. Laporte, host of the Premiere Radio Networks-syndicated Leo Laporte, The Tech Guy and a successful blogger and podcaster, will share his experience and expertise in cutting-edge technology and digital media.

C&W chooses Orange

Cable & (C&W) has picked Orange as its FMC bedfellow, says Silicon.com.

The telco has announced a five-year partnership with the mobile operator to provide national roaming in the UK for its fixed-mobile convergence service which will launch later this year.

Fixed-mobile convergence enables a single device to be used to make calls over an IP network when the user is indoors, seamlessly switching to a mobile network when the device moves out of range of the VOIP network.
