MS expands domain support

Following the announcement of two-factor authentication for Microsoft accounts, the company has announced plans to expand international domain support for Outlook.com.

The Outlook.com domain has been updated to include support for 32 additional international domains, allowing users to select a mail address in their preferred region. A number of European countries will get localised Outlook domains, but notably, the UK is missing for now.

Along with the domain support, Microsoft will also let users sign into Outlook.com accounts using an existing alias. Users previously had to rename accounts to sign into them with an alias, but the new support removes that restriction. Microsoft says both enhancements will be available "in the next few days", alongside the two-factor authentication support.
