MS, Ness partner for media CM
NessTechnologies, a global provider of IT services and solutions, released a version of its media contract management solution, Ness Content Office, at the IBC exhibition, being held between 11 and 15 September in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, reports Benzinga.
Ness Content Office enables broadcasters, production companies and all media organisations to automate contracts, rights and royalty payment management for content assets at the most granular level.
Ness is now working with Microsoft to offer an enhanced enterprise version of NCO as well as software-as-a-service solution based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. This offering now enables advanced business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
Physician groups select MPV contract management
Medical Present Value (MPV) has new contracts with four physician groups representing more than 2 600 providers to help monitor payer compliance and automate processes related to payer adjudication management and oversight, states Reuters.
MPV will model the groups' payer contracts line-by-line into the MPV contract management application-creating a database of client-specific contract terms, fee schedules and payment policies. This enables the groups to verify reimbursement accuracy and better identify, aggregate and appeal claims paid at less than the contract rate.
"In addition to verifying that our reimbursement matches the terms outlined in our payer agreements, we also wanted an automated, more efficient system for tracking the status of our appeals," says Dayle Benson, executive director at University of Utah Medical Group.
Spire provides CM for federal systems
Spire, a global solar company, and Unicor - Federal Prison Industries - a government corporation authorised to operate industries in federal correctional institutions throughout the US, signed a non-exclusive teaming agreement to bring PV systems to the federal government, says Reuters.
Spire will provide systems design and contract management expertise. Recently, Spire Solar announced the expansion of Spire Solar Systems. While continuing to supply commercial markets with solar photovoltaic electric systems, this division has broadened its services to the US federal market.
As a full-service organisation, Spire Solar Systems offers system designs and project management to accommodate federal organisations required to achieve the mandated renewable energy goals of 7.5% by 2013 required by the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
