Microsoft and its partners - Absa, the City of Tshwane, Gijima and Comztek - are coming to town - and they're promising to offer a range of new possibilities, advice and solutions designed specifically for the SME.
The Shift into Top Gear road show will be held at the Protea Hotel Hilton, in Pietermaritzburg, on 17 April, and at the Suid-Natal Primary School, in Port Shepstone, on 22 April. Attendance is free, and potential attendees are encouraged to register upfront for the event.
One of the key technologies that will be showcased during the road show is Microsoft's new Office suite of products, which is being billed as a "complete office in the cloud". It promises to help transform the way SMEs work and play by allowing staff to literally work from anywhere and be more productive by doing things more quickly. For as little as R100 per month, users can get business-grade e-mail, video conferencing and access to their documents from anywhere.
There are also lots of prizes to be won. If you spot Microsoft's Office-less guy, take a picture with him and tweet at him at @MS_PCGuy; you could walk away with a copy of Office 365 Home Premium or one of numerous prizes on offer from the various partners.
If you are a small business owner, work for yourself or just like to stay on top of the latest technology trends, this opportunity is not to be missed. Register here if you would like to attend one or more of the events, and click here for more information on the road show.
