MTN has introduced new Thursday rewards, following the end of its “Mahala Thursdays” promotion that gave customers free calls and SMSes for one day a week.
In other words, says MTN SA chief marketing officer Serame Taukobong: “For every R30 recharge performed by a customer on a Thursday, the customer will get the R30 plus R15 (50%) additional airtime to use.”
To qualify for the promotion, customers need to recharge with a minimum of R10, which may be cumulative.
“For example, if a customer recharges for R5 at 8am, the customer will not qualify for the recharge giveback, but if the same customer recharges again at 2pm with another R5 on the same day, the customer will receive the 50% free airtime giveback.”
Free airtime giveback can only be used for MTN to MTN calls and SMSes. International calls, premium-rated calls, data calls, video calls and MMS services are excluded, and the giveback expires on the same day (Thursday at 23:59).
