MTN has introduced an SMS service to streamline the process of cellphone upgrades for its customers.
The cellphone operator announced yesterday that customers can SMS the word “upgrade” to 30630 in order to check their upgrade status from their cellphone.
MTN SA chief marketing officer, Serame Taukobong, says once customers have used the new SMS service, they can get an upgrade either in-store or via www.MTNSP.co.za, “with free delivery”.
In addition to the SMS upgrade service, MTN customers who upgrade between now and 30 April, stand to win tickets to an international sporting event from a pre-selected list of soccer, cricket, cycling and Formula 1 events, Taukobong adds.
