MTN`s product suite offers customers best value for money

MTN provides mobile offerings that are led by a strong and real customer value focus as opposed to merely copying our competitors. MTN customers can rest assured they will indeed have the best value in the cellular market because all MTN innovations are driven by the communication requirements of our customers.

MTN raised the value benchmark when we led the market by launching innovative consumer-driven mobile offerings such as the MTN WOW WOW value bundle on 19 August 2005. This step sparked significant rate cuts in the industry to keep up with MTN innovation, but in spite of such cuts the MTN offer still provides greater overall value for money, especially since MTN has matched the lower call prepaid rates without compromise to the extensive value offering.

MTN is committed to providing real value offerings through tailored packages that are relevant to each subscriber profile and that suit their lifestyle and communication requirements.

MTN Pay as you Go customers can migrate from their current Classic, PayBack or Call Per Second price plans to the new Call Per Second plus price plan at no additional cost. Subscribers on Call per Second Plus will not only benefit from 50% off all MTN-to-MTN calls, but also 50% off Telkom calls, as well as 36% of all calls made to other networks from 5pm to 9pm. In addition, MTN is offering subscribers more than 50% discount for MTN to MTN SMSes and a discounted SMS rate to other networks, which can be used all day, every day, making it the cheapest SMS peak rate in the market.

In addition, new MTN WOW WOW subscribers can purchase a R59 prepaid starter pack. It includes 10 free SMSes per month for 12 months, five free MMSes per month for 12 months, five free CallBacks per day forever, and R10 free MTNLoaded airtime per month for six months. Existing MTN subscribers can also benefit from the MTN WOW WOW offer by dialling 141 and migrating from their existing Pay as you Go price plan to the WOW WOW package for as little as R49 (once-off fee) to receive the value bundle including SMSes, MMSes and MTNLoaded airtime.

The MTN offer provides the best prepaid value by offering inclusive value packages providing benefit to subscribers not only when they make calls to other MTN subscribers but also when calling subscribers on other cellular networks and landline connections.
