JSE-listed distributor Mustek has become the only local distributor to be registered as an accredited service provider for Acer products purchased from its registered dealer network.
The company inked a distribution deal with the PC maker in February, joining existing local distributors, Axiz and Tarsus.
Mustek's Acer product manager Andrada Manu says this will place Mustek firmly on the South African map as the only complete local service provider for the Acer brand.
All Acer products purchased from Mustek dealers can and will be serviced and repaired at Mustek's internal service division, the company says. The Acer service includes options around on-site warranties, carry-in warranties, and collect, repair and return service offerings.
Mustek represents names such as Mecer, Brother, Toshiba, APC, Epson, Fujitsu, Huawei, Microsoft, NEC, Acer and Lenovo.
CEO and co-founder David Kan has said it has a better basket and is able to serve the small and medium business segment, as well as corporates and the public sector. He added Mustek is continuously looking for new brands to add to its range.
