In a post-implementation review of computer-based training (CBT) undertaken with Bateleur Software Solutions, Mutual & Federal has given a thumbs-up to both the product, Mobius Management System, and the training course.
In Mutual & Federal`s review, 88% of delegates said they preferred learning in privacy and at their own pace. This method of training, facilitated by Bateleur throughout the training process, proved valuable as queries could be dealt with immediately during the training session.
Sandro Gennari, service delivery manager of Mutual & Federal, says it`s quite clear that users prefer this medium of training over conservative lecture-based training. "This is mainly because people can apply their own learning methods to interpret information, they don`t feel intimidated, and they are given structured feedback after each module," he says. "In addition, delegates can repeat modules and have control over their own progress."
At the end of the course, sufficient knowledge and skills had been transferred to the delegates to enable them to go back to their environments and be productive. An impressive 90% of the respondents were extremely positive with regard to using the new enhanced paperless Mobius Management system rather than Mutual & Federal`s existing paper-based reporting system.
"The Mobius Management system is a huge improvement over the current workflow," Gennari points out. "Mobius has definitely initiated a general feeling of excitement among the target group of business users that will be working with it."
Commenting on Mutual & Federal`s decision to use Bateleur as facilitators for the training, Gennari says the group was pleased to have the software company`s expertise on the Mobius product, together with its professional approach and image. "All of these factors contributed to the success of this initiative," he says.
Bateleur Software Solutions selected Skillwise to develop the end-user training course for its Mobius product. "We chose Skillwise because its RADT00L product enables rapid course development. Although it is substantial, the course was developed for Mutual & Federal in just three weeks," says June Julyan, product manager at Bateleur Software Solutions.
