Navision South Africa makes huge inroads into the rest of Africa

Navision South Africa is steadily making inroads into the rest of Africa, by recently signing a deal with R"ossing Foundation in Namibia. The installation of Navision financials, a flexible and fully integrated enterprise business solution for medium-size companies, was done by Navision reseller Pyxis Technologies and is the first Navision installation in Namibia.

R"ossing Foundation assistant director of finance and administration, Jacques Labuschange says the previous financial system comprised a number of standalone systems. "This makes the operations of the foundation difficult, given that the many donors require separate financial reports. With Navision, the foundation`s financial system is far more stable.

"The other advantage is that the base application consists of fully integrated application areas. With this, the application areas benefit from functionality such as flexible numbering and access to external Microsoft applications like Word or Excel," he adds.

Navision managing director for Southern Africa, Keith Mullan says that in any industry, a company competes through differentiation. "That is why we strive to create unique solutions that not only allow our customers, like R"ossing Foundation, to achieve a high return on investment, but also allows them to gain and sustain a competitive advantage in their industries. Today, more than ever before, rapid change governs most business areas. In a world where the only thing you can count on is change, the adaptability of an Enterprise Business Solution is vital to the success of the business.

The main application areas of Navision are general ledger, cash manager, sales and receivables, purchases and payables, inventory, resources, jobs, human resources, contact management and fixed assets. Labuschange stresses that with Navision, the tiresome paperwork would be a thing of the past.

"Navision Financials was created with this in mind. The product has been optimised to allow for rapid and extensive customisation, so that the software enhances one`s business possibilities. We offer enterprise functionality without the costs and implementation time generally associated with enterprise solutions," Mullan concludes.
