Johannesburg, 14 Feb 2002

NEC Computers South Africa today announced its desktop solutions that feature NVIDIA`s new GeForce4 family of GPUs (graphical processor units).

NEC has built a loyal following in the consumer and SMEE markets thanks to its ability to combine performance and features with ease-of-use and value for money. A core clock speed of 330MHz and memory clock speed of 660MHz combined with 128MB DDR SDRAM provides the ultimate graphics experience. The GeForce4 Ti4600 includes revolutionary technologies such as the nFiniteFX II engine for complex geometry and animation, Accuview Antialiasing for unbeatable visual quality and frame rate and nView for multiple display flexibility and user control.

The GeForce4 MX leverages NVIDIA GPU technology and 64MB DDR SDRAM to provide competitive performance and value for mainstream users. With a core clock speed of 270MHz and memory clock speed of 400MHz, the GeForce4 MX includes new technologies such as Lightspeed Memory Architecture, which radically improves DDR memory efficiency, as well as nView and Accuview Antialiasing.
