NEC Philips Unified Solutions, represented in South Africa by its strategic partner GijimaAst, has launched a new portfolio of Unified Communication solutions based on Microsoft Live Communication Server. This significant addition to the portfolio is a result of the partnership between NEC Philips Unified Solutions and Microsoft and integrates the company`s overall IP and TDM communication offering with Microsoft`s solutions based around LCS, Sharepoint and CRM.
This co-operation between two leading ICT companies combines in-depth experience and expertise in desktop applications with that of real-time enterprise communications. The powerful combination is set to deliver considerable increase of efficiency and productivity in enterprise communications.
With this launch NEC Philips Unified Solutions introduces a totally unified concept that integrates all communication channels such as IM, telephony, conferencing, video and e-mail, and includes presence management. The solution can be extended with seamless integration of existing Operator, Contact centre, CRM and workflow applications in combination with SIP-DECT and GSM messaging.
The concept can be customised to fit existing client front and back office environments, assuring directory integration and enabling single point of management.
Rob Elsinga, Business group manager Information Worker at Microsoft, says: "Enterprise-grade real-time collaboration solutions are playing an increasingly important role in helping information workers to stay in touch with critical business contacts and make better decisions, faster. Working with industry leaders like NEC Philips Unified Solutions will only extend and enhance the Office Live Communications Server experience.
