SA's second national operator has introduced two consumer WiMax products offering uncapped Internet services.
Neotel yesterday announced its recently developed product, NeoFlex WiMax Lite, which offers two uncapped data options, both on a 12-month contract.
For R499 per month, customers get download speeds of 512Kbps and upload speeds of 288Kbps; and for download speeds of 1Mbps and upload speeds of 576Kbps, the cost is R750 per month. Both products are subject to a fair use policy.
Scott Grimley, senior manager of sales and distribution at Neotel, says the NeoFlex WiMax Lite service has been introduced to give customers access to high-speed Internet, without the bane of high out-of-bundle charges or the worry of “being capped half way through the month”.
Neotel will install the antenna, which remains the company's property, on commencement of the service and remove it when the contract ends, so a once-off installation fee of R500 applies.
