Angus Hay, Neotel's GM of strategic business development, says the company will remain committed to offering South Africans competitive pricing.

SA's second fixed-line operator, Neotel, has introduced two new prepaid bundles, both coupled to its wireless NeoFlex MiFi device.

Neotel says the MiFi device offers the user a personal WiFi hotspot, while the NeoFlex MiFi 36G and NeoFlex MiFi 100G will give consumers access to 36GB and 100GB of , respectively. "These offers will be available at a once-off price of R1 699 for the NeoFlex MiFi 36G and R2 299 for the NeoFlex MiFi 100G."

Dr Angus Hay, GM of strategic business development at Neotel, says the NeoFlex MiFi bundles give consumers the ability to use their whenever they choose within a year of purchase. "The portable MiFi device can connect wherever Neotel has data coverage, and allows for five simultaneous connections on your own personal WiFi hotspot, providing reliable connections at a competitive price."

NeoFlex MiFi 100G - including the cost of the MiFi device - costs about R23 per GB, making it the greatest value per gigabyte deal on the market, according to Neotel. For both offers, Neotel's prepaid standard rate of 20c per megabyte applies out of bundle. NeoFlex MiFi is also compatible with any WiFi compatible device including phones, tablets and laptops.

Hay says the operator is committed to providing competitive rates for South Africans. "This is a first of a new generation of Neotel data devices that can also work on other 3G networks, by swapping in a SIM card from another provider," says Hay.
